About Me

.

My love for wood began with my first exposure to woodworking as a youth.  Although woodworking was placed on hold while getting an education and raising a family, my desire to work wood continued.   I have now been working wood professionally for more than 30 years and sell my products both locally and regionally through art fairs, galleries and through my home.

My focus is on functional items for use in the home.  Each item is individually handcrafted from domestic hardwoods such as cherry, walnut, oak and maple.  Imported "exotic" species such as padauk, purpleheart and bubinga are sometimes used as accent.

My process begins with a concept or identified need.  I then work with the customer to develop a design and select appropriate woods that will add beauty to the project.  Construction and finishing complete the process.  Customers have provided me with many design concepts that I now market.

I take pride in producing a quality, affordable product that will meet your needs.  Care is taken in wood selection, construction and finishing to produce an item that can be used and enjoyed for many years.

"A person who works with his hands is a laborer.  A person who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman, and a person who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist.   And I am that artist."  Lucy Yepa Lowden, Pueblo Artisian
